Will my piece look exactly like the photos?

Each piece is handmade, so no two are exactly alike. Natural variations in grain, colour, and finish are part of the craft, and some artisans make small adjustments to a design, giving each piece its own character. Product photos show an individual piece and are intended as a guide to the overall design and style. Colours may also appear slightly different depending on your screen settings and lighting conditions.

My order arrived damaged

Gift cards and discount codes

How do I buy a gift card?

Choose an amount on the gift card page. If it’s for someone else, tick “Send it as a gift” and add their email, your name, a message and the day it should arrive. Leave the box unticked and the gift card comes to you. It arrives by email with a code that works straight away, and it’s valid for one year from the day it’s sent.

How do I use a gift card?

Press “Use your gift card” in the email and the gift card goes straight into your cart. You can also open “Discount codes and gift cards” in your cart, enter the code and press “Apply code”. A gift card pays for all or part of an order, and whatever you don’t spend stays on the card until it expires. You can use up to five gift cards on one order, together with one discount code.

What happens if I return something I paid for with a gift card?

Your return is handled the same way as any other. The amount you paid with the gift card goes back onto the card, and we email you when it’s there. If the card has less than a month left by then, it stays valid for a month from that day. Only the person who bought a gift card can have the gift card itself refunded, and the money goes back to the payment method they used. There’s more in our terms and conditions.

How do I use a discount code?

Add your items to the cart and go to the cart page. Expand “Discount codes and gift cards,” enter your code, and click “Apply code” before proceeding to checkout.

Can I use more than one discount code?

You can use one discount code per order. Discount codes can’t be combined with each other, but gift cards can be used alongside one.

My code isn’t working

First, check that your code hasn’t expired and that your order meets the promotion’s terms. If it still doesn’t work, contact us with the code, and we’ll look into it.

</details>

Ethics

How do you source your products?

We prioritise working directly with independent artisans and cooperatives. In some cases, remote locations or communication barriers mean we work through local representatives or workshop managers instead. When we do, we aim to ensure fair prices and respectful working conditions. Most of our collection is sourced directly from the artisans who make it.

Are the artisans paid fairly?

The independent artisans and cooperatives we work with set their own prices and decide how much they want to produce. We place orders based on what works for them and pay the agreed price. Our goal is to build long-term relationships that respect their craft, independence, and way of working. On the other hand, assessing artisan businesses from a distance can be challenging, so we prioritise working with certified Fair Trade businesses, businesses with transparent operations and publicly accessible workshops, and those whose workshops we can visit in person. This helps us make more informed decisions about who we work with and how their products are made.

Where are your products made?

Most of the artisans we work with are independent artisans who craft their pieces from home. Others work in small, local workshops.

</details>
