Checkout and payments

We use Klarna checkout, so you can buy now and pay later, or settle everything up immediately. We also accept Visa and Mastercard.
 
We’re currently working on introducing even more ways to pay securely, so stay tuned!
To apply your discount code:
 
  1. Navigate to your Cart
  2. In the Totals table, find the section Have a discount code?
  3. Enter your discount code
  4. Click Apply
  5. When you’re ready, proceed to checkout
To redeem your Karivarah gift voucher:
 
  1. Navigate to your Cart
  2. In the Totals table, find Have a gift card?
  3. Enter your gift code. You will find this in the email you received with the gift card details.
  4. Click Apply
  5. Review your cart and proceed to checkout

Yes, all our prices are inclusive of VAT, unless otherwise stated.

Shipping and delivery

Note: All orders are shipped from our warehouse in Norway, so you won’t pay any import taxes or additional fees.
 
We offer free standard shipping on all orders from NOK 400. If your order doesn’t qualify for free shipping, then you’ll have to pay an additional fee for shipping, which is calculated at checkout.
 
The delivery fee will be calculated once you enter your address, and it’ll depend on:
 
  • The size and weight of your order
  • The delivery address
  • The courier
Your delivery options will depend on your delivery address, how much your order weighs, and the size of the package.
 
In most cases, you can choose either home delivery or collection at your nearest pickup point with:
 
  • Posten/Bring
  • PostNord
  • Helthjem
Once you place your order, we’ll pack it at our warehouse in Norway and get it ready for delivery. Generally, your order will be ready for dispatch within 1–3 business days.
 
We’ll let you know as soon as it’s with the courier and on its way to you. While you should receive your order within 3–6 days after dispatch, sometimes delivery can take up to 12 days. The courier will provide you with the tracking details so you can keep tabs on your order.

Unfortunately, we don’t ship internationally ⁠– yet. While we only deliver to addresses in Norway right now, we’re working on expanding to other locations.

Did you enter the wrong delivery address at checkout? Contact us with the order details and new address.
 
If you need to change your account default delivery address, follow these steps:
 
  1. Log into your account
  2. Navigate to Addresses
  3. Find your default delivery address and click Edit
  4. Enter your new default delivery address
  5. Save your changes
We’re sorry to hear that! If your order is incomplete, please contact us immediately. We’ll look into it, and make things right.
If something went wrong with your delivery, follow these steps:
 
  1. If the packaging is visibly damaged, inform the courier before signing for the delivery. The courier will make a note of the damage, which will come in handy if your order is damaged.
  2. Take pictures of the damaged packaging.
  3. Open the package carefully.
  4. If the item is damaged, take pictures and tell us right away by emailing contact@karivarah.com. Don’t forget to attach your pictures.
If you’ve been waiting for your order for more than 12 days:
 
  1. Check your messages and emails for updates
  2. Make sure it wasn’t collected by someone else at your address
  3. Check your mailbox
  4. Contact the courier

Returns and refunds

You have 14 days to return an item and request a refund. It's important to remember that you’re responsible for the cost of returning the item to our warehouse in Norway. Read more about returns and refunds.

If you have a customer account:
 
  1. Log in to your account
  2. Navigate to Orders
  3. Select View on the relevant order
  4. Scroll down and click the Request a refund button
  5. Fill in the refund request form
  6. Click Submit request
If you don’t have a customer account:
 
  1. Send an email with your order details to contact@karivarah.com
  2. We'll get back to you with the next steps

If you return an item you bought with a Karivarah gift card, you’ll receive store credit for the return value. You can use your credit to make another purchase. Remember that your gift card and return credits are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
 
Note: If you don't plan to order anything from Karivarah, please let us know. We'll cancel your gift card and refund the person who bought it.
Send it back to us anyway. Be sure to pack the item carefully and to use a reputable courier. We’ll process your refund less the cost of the damage or any missing items.

Yes, unless we specify otherwise, sale and promotional items can be refunded. Please note that the refund will be based on the sale price, not the full price.

You can cancel your order if it hasn't been shipped. Once it's handed over to the courier, you'll need to return it to our warehouse at your own cost.

 

Contact us as soon as possible with your cancellation request. We'll refund you within 14 days, using the same payment method you used for the order.

We order our products directly from artisans in Africa or their representatives. The artisans we partner with work on their own time and set their own prices, in line with established fair trade practices. Learn more about Karivarah.
Our products aren’t currently stocked in any retail stores in Norway, and are available exclusively in our online shop. When/if that changes, you’ll be the first to know, just subscribe to our newsletter!
