Description

A small chandelier of wooden beads, strung by hand from the ceiling plate down to a bamboo ring and then out into a rounded empire shape. It measures 30 cm across and 45 cm from the ceiling, and mounts directly to the ceiling with no chain.

That makes it a good choice for rooms with a lower ceiling, such as a loft bedroom, a landing or a child’s room. The fitting matches the beads: antique brass with the coloured beads and black with the black.

It takes one E27 bulb, not included, and must be installed by an electrician. For indoor use only.

How it’s made

Rosalie is made by hand in a small beading studio in South Africa, and it was the first chandelier the studio ever made.

The frame is bamboo. Maple beads are threaded onto waxed cotton cord and hung from the ceiling canopy down to the ring, then carried outward and under to form the rounded base. On the painted versions, the colours follow a set order along every strand, so the gradient runs evenly all the way round.

Care instructions

Dust with a dry cloth or a soft brush. Switch off the power before you clean the chandelier or change the bulb, and keep water away from the fitting.

Everything we sell is made by hand, so colour, pattern, size, and shape vary a little from piece to piece. That’s a normal part of the craft.
