Description
A set of four dish covers in organic cotton, printed with the Protea design in blue on a natural background. The sizes run from about 15 cm for a small bowl up to 36 cm for a large serving dish.
Use the smaller ones on bowls in the fridge through the week, and the largest over a casserole or a salad you’re taking to friends. The cotton is uncoated and breathable, and the covers go in the washing machine when they need it.
How it’s made
Each cover is made from pre-shrunk organic cotton with an elastic hem that grips the rim.
The Protea design began as a stamp carved by hand and is now screen-printed onto the cotton with food-safe ink. The covers are sewn in South Africa by women working at home, in a way of working built around flexible hours for caregivers. The business is a verified member of the Fair Trade Federation.

Care instructions
Machine wash cold or warm, then air dry or tumble dry. An unscented detergent is best, as the covers sit over food.
Everything we sell is made by hand, so colour, pattern, size, and shape vary a little from piece to piece. That’s a normal part of the craft.
