Dish covers in organic cotton, printed with the Madiba design and finished with an elastic hem that stretches over the rim. Use them on salads, leftovers, fruit bowls and dishes you’re taking to friends.
The cotton is uncoated and breathable, so warm food keeps cooling under the cover. Choose a cover roughly the size of your bowl and the elastic does the rest. They go in the washing machine whenever they need it.
The covers are made from organic cotton that is pre-shrunk before cutting, with an elastic hem that fits a range of bowl sizes.
Each design starts as a stamp carved by hand, and is now screen-printed onto the cotton with food-safe ink.
They’re sewn in South Africa by women who work from home, many of them caregivers who set their own hours. The business is a verified member of the Fair Trade Federation.

Machine wash cold or warm, then air dry or tumble dry. An unscented detergent is best, as the covers sit over food.
Everything we sell is made by hand, so colour, pattern, size, and shape vary a little from piece to piece. That’s a normal part of the craft.
